Casinacho Games

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Casinacho Games is one of those pick-up-and-play collections that doesn't ask much of you and gives back a lot of small good feelings. It's built around a hub of little cartoon rooms, and each one hides a different mini-game: matching shapes, timing taps, sorting colored blocks, that kind of thing. Nothing here demands a strategy guide. You tap, you swipe, you smile, you move on.

What surprised me is how well the whole thing is tuned. The tap timing games have a satisfying snap to them, and the difficulty ramps just enough that I kept saying "one more" past the point I meant to stop. Controls are all single-thumb friendly, which made it perfect for playing on the tram. The art style is loud and friendly without being obnoxious, and the little animations when you clear a stage are genuinely charming.

Battery-wise it's very gentle since the graphics are simple 2D. My phone stayed cool through a forty-minute session and the drain was minor. If you want something to fill five minutes that respects your five minutes, this is an easy recommendation.
